Quick answers

What do you deliver for land and acreage drone photography?

The parcel and its setting, a straight-down lot frame, edited aerial photos and optional aerial video. High and low passes that show the land, the buildings, the access road and what sits around it: water, bush, neighbours, the town. The delivery date is written on your quote.

How much does land and acreage drone photography cost?

Every job is priced to the site, so you get a fixed quote rather than a rate card: send the address and the job. We check the airspace and reply with a fixed price within 1 business day. Founder Mike Brun holds a Transport Canada Advanced drone pilot certificate; every flight is flown by an Advanced-certified pilot.

Who it’s for

When the land is the product.

  • Farms & acreage

Fields, woodlots, barns, laneways and road frontage — the size and shape of the land, which a ground photo can’t show.

  • Cottages & waterfront

Shoreline, docks, the view and the distance to the water, in one frame buyers understand at a glance.

  • Estates & vacant lots

Large lots, building sites and severances: where the parcel sits, what surrounds it and how you get to it.

Listing a house on a normal lot? The listing add-on is simpler: Drone photos included in Listing Launch & Premiere, or +$75 on MLS Ready and Market Ready (5–8 edited aerial photos). Real estate drone

Transport Canada Advanced pilot

Founder Mike Brun holds a Transport Canada Advanced drone pilot certificate; every flight is flown by an Advanced-certified pilot.

  • Registered aircraft · airspace handled

Our aircraft are registered with Transport Canada. In controlled airspace — around London International (CYXU), for example — we request NAV CANADA authorization through NAV Drone before the flight, and apply for a Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC) when a job needs one.

  • Insured

Insured, with a certificate of insurance on request.

  • Free weather reschedules

Whether a flight is safe and legal is always the pilot’s call, under Transport Canada rules. If wind, rain or snow would make a flight unsafe, we move it to the next workable day at no charge.

  • Samples on request

Ask for a sample of the deliverable you need — an inspection PDF, a land film, a map — before you book.

What we don’t do

Saying no to the wrong job is part of doing the right one safely.

  • No flights beyond visual line of sight

BVLOS work needs a Level 1 Complex pilot certificate and an operator certificate (RPOC) for the company. We fly within sight.

  • No advertised public events without an SFOC

Transport Canada requires a Special Flight Operations Certificate for any drone at an advertised event.

  • No legal surveys

Maps, models and lot-line overlays are not surveys. Boundaries in Ontario are set by an Ontario Land Surveyor.

  • No engineering or insurance opinions

Inspections are visual documentation. A qualified roofer, engineer or adjuster interprets them.

  • No thermal imaging or crop spraying

Neither is offered at the moment.

Before you book

Straight answers.

Can I book aerials without a listing package?

Yes. Land, farm, cottage and estate aerials are booked on their own. Send the address and roughly how big the property is, and we reply with a fixed price within 1 business day.

How do you price a large property?

By the size of the parcel and what you need: photos only, photos and video, or both with a lot-line overlay. A 2-acre cottage lot and a 100-acre farm are different flights, so we quote each one.

Can you show the property lines?

We can draw an approximate outline on a photo, labelled “approximate — not a survey”. It helps buyers see the shape of the land; it is not a legal boundary. In Ontario, boundaries are set by an Ontario Land Surveyor.

Can you fly near an airport or downtown?

Usually, yes. London International (CYXU) is surrounded by controlled airspace, and so are Toronto Pearson and Billy Bishop. Flights there need an Advanced pilot and NAV CANADA authorization through NAV Drone. Some requests are approved automatically; a manual review can take about a week, sometimes two, so we build that into your date. We never promise an approval before NAV CANADA gives it.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We move the flight to the next workable day at no charge. Steady wind above about 30 km/h, rain, snow or poor visibility usually means we wait. Whether a flight is safe and legal is always the pilot’s call, under Transport Canada rules.

I’m a listing agent. Should I use this or the listing add-on?

For a house on a normal lot, the listing add-on is simpler: +$75 for 5–8 edited aerial photos, or drone photos included in Listing Launch and Premiere. For acreage, farms and waterfront, where the land is the product, a standalone aerial session covers more ground.
